It’s not that often that 100th birthday parties are held. But when the occasion comes, it’s truly a time to celebrate.

That was the idea that the Highland Park Housing had when a resident at the senior housing center, Urula Hirsch, turned 100 on Dec. 19.

Highland Park Housing decorated a room and filled it with Hirsch’s friends and loved ones to celebrate the centenarian.

“Ursula is the sweetest lady I have met in my lifetime,” Luisa Gonzalez, who works in compliance at Highland Park Housing said.
